In 1980, in Belize, Central America, Marie Sharp began experimenting with recipes for sauces, jams, and jellies, using fresh habanero peppers, vegetables, and fruits from her farm. Encouraged by positive feedback from neighbors and friends who tasted her creations, she decided to turn her passion into a family business. Starting in a small kitchen with help from relatives and just one employee, Marie's determination grew her operation into a factory in Stann Creek, Belize, employing over 20 workers and supplying both local and international markets.
When designing and developing the Marie Sharp's Israel website, I drew inspiration from the Scoville scale, the measure of a pepper's heat intensity. The color palette moves from the deep burgundy of the hottest peppers to the vibrant green of the mildest, capturing the fiery yet fresh essence of Marie Sharp's famous products.
The website offers a seamless user experience, guiding visitors through a bold visual journey that mirrors the intensity and authenticity of the brand. Each element of the design reflects the dedication to quality that Marie Sharp has maintained for over 40 years, continuing to uphold her slogan, "Proud Products of Belize."
